Mr. Erşenkal joined Castlelake in 2018 as part of the Global Special Situations team, focused on power and energy infrastructure investments in emerging, developing, and developed markets. Prior to joining Castlelake, Mr. Erşenkal led M&A for Vientos Services LLC, a growth markets focused power generation business. Prior to Vientos, Mr. Erşenkal was a senior vice president at Beowulf Energy – a private investor, developer and operator of power and energy infrastructure assets based in New York – where he focused on acquisitions and development. Earlier in his career, Mr. Erşenkal worked at DAI, an international development consulting firm, as a project manager of post-conflict recovery programs in sub-Saharan Africa and southeast Asia. Mr. Erşenkal started his career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Namibia. He received his M.B.A. from the Wharton School, at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in engineering from the University of Hartford, summa cum laude. Mr. Erşenkal is conversational in Turkish.
