Jonathan Fragodt is a partner at Castlelake in the London office. Mr. Fragodt joined Castlelake in 2007 and became a partner of the firm in 2012. While at Castlelake, Mr. Fragodt has spearheaded Castlelake’s growth and expansion in European asset investments. Since entering the European asset investment market in 1999, Mr. Fragodt has closed approximately 150 transactions of secured non-performing loan portfolios backed by real estate, real estate assets, real estate-owned (REO) portfolios and direct investments in niche land opportunities in Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Greece and Poland.
Prior to joining Castlelake, Mr. Fragodt was a managing director at D.B. Zwirn, an alternative investment organization based in London, and led the development of the firm’s European non-performing loan portfolio and real estate investment businesses. Prior to joining D.B. Zwirn, Mr. Fragodt was an investment manager with Cargill Value Investment (CVI, now CarVal Investors) in Europe. Mr. Fragodt received his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in political science and business administration, cum laude. Mr. Fragodt is fluent in German.
