Matt Little is a partner at Castlelake and serves as global head of both its Global Specialty Finance and Business Development & Capital Markets teams. Within Global Specialty Finance, Mr. Little is responsible for the firm’s investments in credit cards, secured loans, leases and other specialty finance sub-strategies in conjunction with the regional team leaders. Additionally, Mr. Little is responsible for raising debt capital across Castlelake’s family of funds and leading asset origination efforts within the firm’s investing verticals as head of Business Development & Capital Markets. Mr. Little joined Castlelake in 2015 and became a partner in 2017. He is also a rotating, voting member of its Investment Review Committee. While at Castlelake, Mr. Little has led the completion of multiple aircraft securitizations, equity sales, and strategic initiatives, including public offerings.
Prior to joining Castlelake, Mr. Little served as co-head of transportation financing within the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in New York. There, he worked with many of the world’s largest specialty finance companies, global industrial conglomerates and major financial institutions on strategic initiatives, such as divestitures, acquisitions, general corporate advisory and raising debt and equity capital. Mr. Little began his career in the Financial Institutions Group within investment banking at Goldman Sachs. He received a B.A. in politics from Princeton University and a certificate in political theory.
