Otto Verhoeff is a partner and chief commercial officer at Castlelake, responsible for leading Castlelake’s Aviation commercial activities. He has managerial responsibility for sourcing new aviation investment opportunities, leasing and marketing efforts, and aircraft and engine trading. Mr. Verhoeff joined Castlelake in 2012 and became a partner in 2017. Mr. Verhoeff has worked in the Aviation industry for more than 15 years. Over the course of his career, he has gained experience working with more than 300 airlines and aircraft lessors in more than 50 countries through lease placements, aircraft sale and lease backs and other investment and acquisition projects. Mr. Verhoeff has also been instrumental in the development of Castlelake’s internal aircraft servicing infrastructure and platform.
Prior to joining Castlelake, Mr. Verhoeff was with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. In his latest role at KLM, he served as Regional Sales Director North America for KLM Engineering & Maintenance/Air France Industries, where he was primarily responsible for leading the Sales department. There, Mr. Verhoeff’s experience included the successful sales integration of a locally-acquired subsidiary. In this function, Mr. Verhoeff interacted on a global level with airlines, lessors, brokers and MROs. Prior to his expatriation to the U.S., Mr. Verhoeff, a Dutch native, was based in the KLM Amsterdam offices where he managed various airframe, training and aircraft engine sales programs for third party airlines. Mr. Verhoeff attended Erasmus University of Rotterdam, focusing on business administration.
