Alexander Curcio

Mr. Curcio joined Castlelake in 2018 and is Partner, European Risk. In this role, he focuses on risk oversight across European investments and portfolio management strategies for Castlelake’s asset-based private credit funds.

Mr. Curcio became a partner of the firm in 2024 and is a member of Castlelake’s Executive Committee. During his tenure, he has led the firm’s European Specialty Finance investment team, responsible for executing Castlelake’s investment strategy across consumer and commercial credit, including small- and medium-sized enterprise finance and residential mortgage finance opportunities in Europe.

Prior to joining Castlelake, Mr. Curcio was with Goldman Sachs on the European Mortgages trading desk, where he focused on the origination and trading of whole loan pools and lending to the European specialty finance sector. Earlier in his career, he worked at Deutsche Bank as a structurer in the Principal Finance group.

Mr. Curcio received an M.Sc. in finance and economics from the London School of Economics and a B.Sc. in economics from the University of Warwick. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
