Betsy Sylvester

Ms. Sylvester joined Castlelake in 2019 and is Partner, Capital Formation. In this role, she leads the firm’s global client management team and strategy, ensuring client perspective is central to fund and strategic partnership formation. She also leads the firm’s investor relations strategy, with a focus on delivering a consistent, responsive and transparent client experience.

Ms. Sylvester became a partner of the firm in 2026 and is a member of its Executive Committee. During her tenure at Castlelake, Ms. Sylvester has played a leadership role in enhancing the firm’s client engagement and capital formation efforts, helping to strengthen strategic partnerships and investor communications across the organization. Prior to Castlelake, Ms. Sylvester held roles in client advisory, relationship management and portfolio construction, including as a vice president on the Client Advisory team at Envoi, LLC, and a private wealth advisor at Goldman Sachs. Ms. Sylvester began her career in the nonprofit sector. She received her M.B.A. in finance and economics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and her B.A. in sociology and anthropology from Carleton College, magna cum laude.
