Brad Farrell

Mr. Farrell joined Castlelake in 2019 and is Partner and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he is responsible for internal and external reporting, financial and operational aspects of investment structuring, execution and valuation, treasury management and management company operations. He also oversees the firm’s information and technology strategy.

Mr. Farrell became a partner of the firm in 2021 and is a member of Castlelake’s Executive Committee, Investment Review Committee and Regulatory, Compliance and Conflicts Committee. He also sits on the boards of Castlelake’s owned credit origination platforms and several of Castlelake’s aircraft securitizations. During his tenure, he has helped lead the development of the firm’s operating infrastructure across finance, reporting, technology and investment operations.

Prior to joining Castlelake, Mr. Farrell served as chief financial officer of Two Harbors Investment Corp., where he was responsible for operations, treasury, tax, accounting and financial reporting. During his tenure there, he was also involved in regulatory and corporate governance, risk oversight, transaction structuring and execution, debt and capital formation, investor reporting, technology and talent management. Earlier in his career, he held leadership and managerial positions in finance and accounting at GMAC ResCap, XL Capital and KPMG.

Mr. Farrell received his B.S.B.A. in accounting from Drake University. He is a CPA (inactive).
