Eric Detweiler

Eric Detweiler joined Castlelake in 2026 and is a part of the Real Assets team, where he focuses on actively managing the firm’s real estate investments in North America. In this role, he is responsible for maximizing portfolio performance and managing risk across the real estate platform.

Prior to joining Castlelake, Mr. Detweiler worked in the commercial real estate warehouse financing platform of Barclays where he managed credit facilities with non-bank lenders in the real estate sector. Prior to Barclays, he held positions with both investment and asset management responsibilities at Verus Commercial Real Estate Finance and Stabilis Capital Management.  He began his career with Ernst & Young as an auditor.

Mr. Detweiler received his M.B.A. in real estate and finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.A. in international studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania under a dual degree program. He received an M.S. in accounting and a B.B.A. in finance from Southern Methodist University.
