Chris Buckley

Mr. Buckley joined Castlelake in 2015 and is Partner and Aviation Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, he leads Castlelake’s Aviation Commercial, Trading and Technical teams and functions and is responsible for the origination, management and performance of the firm’s global aviation investment portfolio.

Mr. Buckley became a partner of the firm in 2021 and is a member of Castlelake’s Executive Committee. During his tenure at Castlelake, he has played a senior leadership role across the firm’s aviation platform, helping shape commercial strategy, aircraft trading, technical oversight, global investment origination and portfolio management.

Prior to joining Castlelake, Mr. Buckley spent five years at Danish Air Transport, where he served as vice president of business development and was responsible for wet and dry leasing, aircraft acquisitions and aircraft sales. Earlier in his career, he worked for Hunt & Palmer, a global aircraft charter company, holding positions in Paris, Hong Kong, Australia and London with responsibilities spanning aircraft charter brokering, sales and leasing.

Mr. Buckley received his B.A. in business economics from the University of Exeter.
